I've almost always been a fan of the Underdog.
If I turn on a football game between 2 teams that I don't have a love for, I'll almost always root for the team that is behind.
Maybe this is why I'm a Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds fan.
I began being fans of these teams becuase they are close to where I grew up. But, over the years have become a diehard fan for both.
The Reds haven't had a good team since 1990, and the Browns haven't...longer than that.
I think a normal person would get tired of this...but each off season, I look forward to what adjustments the teams will make, and if we can possibly get to a point of actually competing at a pro level.
The hardest part for me, is when I load up Madden on the Xbox 360...and the stats for the Browns are in the 60s. Yikes... it really makes it hard to play as your favorite team when the competition trounces you regularaly.
Ok- the Bengals are closer to where you were raised than the Browns... and until recent seasons, they have really been considered the underdog as well... so how come you didn't go with them? =) hehe...
I actually started being a Browns fan when they came back into the League and took Tim Couch as their first pick.
Being a huge Kentucky fan, it seemed like the way to go.
But, Couch has moved on...and my love for the Browns remains.
Completely understandable... =) You're a loyal fan ... hehe...
