Though we knew that Star Tours was closed for renovation during our January trip, we decided to head over and see if there were any visible updates yet.

We were surprised to find that the area was being used for a Darth Vader meeting location!  My son was quick to jump in line, though my wife thought he might be hesitant.  This is probably because when she was young....she thought Darth Vader was in her closet (true story).
The Storm Troopers in the waiting line really took the show for my son. He's a big Star Wars fan, especially Clone Wars so it was a special treat for him to meet them.
As Kian was getting his autograph book signed by Vader, a second Storm Trooper leaned into my son to see how he would react.

As you can see from the video, Kian held his ground and stared back at the Storm Trooper until he backed off.  That's my boy!
This turned out to be a great surprise character greet and Kian really enjoyed it.  This also helped prepare him for a truly special encounter that he would have in a couple of days.  Stay tuned for a future blog post :)
