Our first day in the parks started our first time eating at the Crystal Palace character breakfast.  We love getting an 8am reservation since we get to be finished eating and in the park when it opens at 9am.  Because it was Marathon Weekend, it was advised that we leave Pop Century an extra 30 minutes early so the bus would be sure to get us there on time.
We arrived at the gates around 7:15 to find that because of the race they were not letting anyone in until closer to 8...and it was COLD outside.  So, I spent some time taking pictures of the empty park entrance while my wife and son tried to stay warm.
The buffet was the normal setup of eggs, potatoes, etc...but what I like most is getting to try new things.  Luckily they had corn beef hash which I've always wanted to try and my son loved the Puffed French Toast and Breakfast Pizza.  I was looking forward to trying the Breakfast Lasagna but they didn't seem to have it anymore :(
But the Characters are what we came for and Kian had a blast having Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet coming by to see him.  Once the parade started, he took off an walked around the restaurant with them as well.  We love doing Character meals since they keep our son excited while we eat and relax.
There was a beautiful view of the castle as we exited and we were able to get ahead of the crowds and hit Fantasy Land right away!

While we had really good service and Kian had fun with the characters, the food was just average so we don't think it's a place we will make the effort to visit again soon.  There are other Character Breakfasts at Disney World that I enjoyed more and will be reviewing very soon.
