Your Shape Fitness Evolved

I've been able to stick to my daily workout routines using Your Shape Fitness Evolved but have found it lacking in a few areas:

While it does evaluate your overall fitness level and help pick workout plans that are best for you, so far it has been the exact same routine each day.  It doesn't seem to alter the routines to work out different muscle groups at all, but it's possible that this is just in the starting routines.

There are no warm-up or cool-down routines and I don't understand this since it is such an important part of eliminating muscle soreness.  I'm considering firing up The Biggest Loser on the Wii today to get a reminder on their routines and do them on my own each day.

While it does count and keep track of how many calories you are burning each day, the game doesn't do anything to incorporate your diet into the workout program.  One of the things that really helps keep me motivated is to see my entire progress and see where I can make changes and improvements to how much I'm eating and working out.

Speaking of motivation, Your Shape Fitness Evolved does very little to keep me coming back for more.  Sure, it tells me when I'm making mistakes in my exercises and how to correct them...but any motivation is purely self driven.
The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout

So, what I'm thinking right now is that I'll continue with my current plans for the next couple of weeks until a copy of The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout arrives.  This should give me plenty of time to see exactly how Your Shape is working for me and then can begin to compare the two for my best plan of action.

In the past I had great success using the Biggest Loser program, so if the Kinect version is as good as the Wii version I may have to make that switch.  One of the things I loved most about it was hearing Bob's encouragement during the routines and even when I started up the game for the first time each day.  It helped motivate me by having me put in the calories consumed at each meal and helping me keep track of my overall weight loss goals.  This is the kind of help I need to continue in this quest of a healthier life.
