I just saw an article at wdwinfo saying that Mickey is no longer table side at the Chef Mickey's restaurant in the Contemporary Hotel.  Apparently Mickey will now be near the front of the restaurant for photos that can be purchased for $29.95.

This is the character meal that my family is most looking forward to in our upcoming January trip and I'm really bummed to hear about this change.  Having the characters come to the table is the most special part of these meals and at Mickey's Restaurant, we expect to see him.  This also means we'll probably have to stand in line just to see him and that's what we try to avoid with these meals.

On the bright side, it seems that Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy will still be coming table side...Kian's crush is on Minnie anyway :)  Check out the Disney Food Blog review of Chef Mickey's.
