The design of a game goes through so many itterations before the product is finished.

One person may make the initial conception and design, then another designer builds the space adding the actual gameplay. That level could then be passed to another designer to polish and ensure that bugs are taken care of.

It's hard to feel a sense of ownership in this situation. Which of these three guys can say that they were ultimately responsible for the creation of the level? It all three?

Personally, I think the only way for a level to be it's best is if one person takes it from beginning to end. Of course i'm a huge fan of everyone giving input and seeing the level as much as possible, but one person should take care of the actual creation and implementation.
