We were lucky enough to get an 8am reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table on our last trip to the Magic Kingdom.  This was our first time eating there and we had kept it a secret from our son until this morning. They handed us our Royal Invitation and we were ready to go!

It was a very cold January morning and we arrived at the doors to the restaurant expecting to wait a few minutes before being called in.  To our surprise, they brought us inside the doors right away...leaving all the other guests outside for now.  They gave him a cool sword which made his day.

Kian was then told that he was chosen to be the Honorary Prince of the Day and given a special sticker to wear.  This certainly caught us by surprise and was very exciting for him!

We were then taken into the next room where Kian was introduced to Cinderella by name and she spent time with him before his photo.  No one else had been let into the restaurant yet, so this felt really special.

Above is a shot of his photo for those who are curious about what is included in the package when you dine at Cinderella's Royal Table.

We then were led up the stairs into the dining area and were seated at the Prince's Table.  The Cast Member told Kian that he should sit in this particular seat and be ready when the Princesses came in.

As each Princess entered the dining hall, they would bypass every other person in the room and go DIRECTLY to Kian!  They would talk about him being the Prince of the Day and then spend time talking with him before posing for a photo.  Above is a video of the fantastic conversation he had with Ariel.

I think Kian has a crush on Ariel and she did such a great job talking with him.

Princess Aurora came by to see him next and he continued to say he was fighting pirates and dragons today...not sure where he came up with that one :)

Snow White visited next and told Kian that he needed to find his Queen (momma) some diamonds during his adventures.  He mentioned this later in the day wondering where he could find the diamonds.

Last was a visit from Belle in an outfit that we had never seen her in before.  She talked with Kian about how much she loves to read and asked him if his Autograph Book was his "Storybook".

We were really happy that the food was brought to the table here so we didn't miss any of the action.  We kept getting plates of the fantastic Stuffed French Toast until they nearly had to carry me out of there.

Meeting with five Princesses in such a special way was a huge kick for our son who loves them already.  This was a truly magical experience that we will never forget and I hope for everyone to experience on their next visit.

  1. Way cool! And you didn't have to do anything special like be first in line? I would love a chance to arrange something like that because my kids would be upset if they weren't picked.

  2. Unknown says:

We're honestly not certain what the reason was they chose him. He was the first boy there. He was also the only child in our party...since having a sibling may have caused jealousy. But these are only guesses.

  3. Now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense. Being the first boy and the only child makes it really easy for the family and the hosts. Thanks for the info!
