I couldn't resist Walmart's offer for a $100 gift card with purchase of the 80gig PS3...so I'm now a proud owner :) I also picked up Resistance for $19 which is sweet.
There's literally only like 5 games that I'm even interested in on the console...but it plays Blu-Ray so that's a huge bonus for us. I need to pick up Little Planet, Drake's Fortune and Disgaea 3 too.
Hope you like Resistance it was (mostly) fun to work on ;).
The Ratchet&Clank game would probably be fun for you and your family also. You can get a good feel for it with the DLC Quest for Booty.
Ha! mostly is better than some to be sure.
I played a bit of R&C3 on my dev kit last year but didn't get to finish it so I probably will pick that up soon. Kian and I are playing through Lego Batman right now together :)
If you do check out more of Ratchet PS3, keep an eye out for the Jello eating bots. My last contribution to Insomniac before I took off :)
