Sorry for the long drought of blog posts. I've been super busy these days at EA, and i'm now at a place were I have a bit more free time.

So, for those that don't know, I'll give an update about what's been going on with me over the past 3 months or so.

After Oddworld shut down, I quickly landed a job at Maxis/Electronic Arts working on a huge project. I was hired to work on the Sims game being developed for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I really like the direction of this project, and my former Lead Designer at Oddworld is the lead on this project...I love working with him.

So, about a week after being hired and getting adjusted to the new job...I am brought into the manager's office. They told me that The Godfather project is falling behind, and that my skill set could benefit their ability to get it finished. Even though i'm not a fan of violent games, I decided to not fight the move and went up to the fourth floor to help out. I wasn't too keen on it at first, but I've warmed up to it. It's the biggest project that EA has going here right now, with nearly 300 people working on it.

Last week it was announced that the game is being delayed until March. This announcement caused a $2 drop in EA stock price. Needless to say, it was a huge announcement. But, it needed to be done becuase the game wouldn't have been as good as it should and will be.

This being said, I'm not sure exactly what it means for my time on the Godfather project. I'm basically on loan to this team for a short time, then i'll be going back to Sims Next Gen.

As for my blog, I've decided that I'm going to use this space as a way to relay to my family and friends what's going on in the Gaming Industry from an insider's view. There are a lot of misconceptions about the Entertainment Industry, and I want to help shed some light on those areas.

As news about particular companies or games comes out...I'll do my best to give some info and insight into them so you'll better understand what it really means.

The reason I decided to do this, is becuase of the new "Hot Coffee" issue found in the latest Grand Theft Auto game. I'll go into detail in my next post on what this is, and how it affects the industry.

Also, if there is ANYTHING about my industry, my job, me, or anything else that you've ever wondered about or would just like to hear me talk about... let me know!
