I've been playing fantasy football for over 12 years now and was looking to get into something a little more involved.

A friend of mine started a new league that has some pretty intense rules. Instead of picking players, we get entire colleges. Your roster consists of any alum or future draft pick that came from that college as long as you own it.

We're in the middle of the auction now and I've managed to pick up LSU, Florida, Clemson and Auburn. There's a couple more schools I'm honing in on and am hoping I can afford them with the auction dollars I have left.

The best part is it will make college football more exciting for me. I don't get to see many Kentucky games out here, so I'll have other schools to root for as well.

I decided to pick it back up again and continue playing. I had originally gotten to the 2nd of 4 discs and put in about 20 hours.

I stayed home sick yesterday and I tend to play an rpg when I am feeling bad. They don't require keen senses or fast movements :)

Sarah decided to make salsa verde now and did the first batch today. It tastes good and I can already tell after she does her normal tinkering with her recipe...it will taste great.

the 2008 NFL schedule was released today and the Browns have 5 prime time games this year!

I'm so stoked...

I've decided that it's the only RAM I'm going to buy from now on. I've always bought quality RAM, but their stuff Overclocks like no other and has a lifetime warranty.

I just sent back the sticks from Sarah's PC after owning them for almost 2 years and got brand new replacements in less than 2 weeks turn around.

They also actually respond to support emails :)

I may have mentioned before that I started taking Kian out to breakfast every Saturday morning so he and I can spend some alone time together. We've been doing it for 4 weeks or so now. During the week I only see him for about 10 mins in the mornings so it's really great to get some time with him like that.

I told him this morning that we'd be going out again tomorrow morning and his face lit up. That let me know that he enjoys it as much as I do :)

So, I was working on a level at work today and was prepared to check in about 3 days of changes. I did a sync to get all the latest game assets and then rebuilt the map to ensure that everything was error free before it goes in. During the few minutes that I got someone to buddy check my work and checked in... there was another check in by someone else that deleted a lot of NPCs that I was using in this area.

It was like the only way timing that could have allowed this to happen and resulted in the check ins causing a ton of errors and breaking the map.

sigh

I received my $50 gift card from Best Buy yesterday for buying an HD-DVD player there a few months ago...

Now what to buy?

Some guys from work got together tonight for a poker game. This was literally the first time I've played in many months and it showed.

Granted I went out on a really bad beat, but I didn't play very well at all. I went out first and honestly I can't remember the last time that happened to me.

After a year of waiting...this Friday is the return and final season of Battlestar Galactica!

I can't wait... and really hope it doesn't suck

We're at the end of the third season of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer right now and my wife and I really love the show.

Joss Whedon is an incredible writer and develops characters very well. I love this series just as much as Firefly now and we're moving through all the seasons as fast as Netflix can send them to us.
