I've just set up my blog to allow me to post from my phone.
hope you're seeing this :)
I log into ebay today and see that their internal messaging system has 8 messages for me. (i've never had more than 1-2 before)
I click the link and see 8 copies of the same message.
When I open it up, the first line is something like:
"This is the way for you to receive relevant messages from ebay"

Since I've started showing up in Full Sail ads(a few years ago) and in videos during their tours of the school, I've been getting a lot of emails from potential students. (I'm always more than happy to answer emails about Full Sail, or just my career in general)
As the months go by, the amount of these emails have increased. I didn't realize that so many people were then going to my website to get my contact info and to get more info about me.
I guess I've said all of this to say: I SERIOUSLY need to update my web page.
I've not done a content update to jamesondurall.com in almost 2 years.
Also, if anyone else ever has questions about Full Sail or Game Design in general, feel free to send me an email.

We've been Sprint PCS customers for the better part of 6 years... but in the Bay Area, Cingular reigns supreme.
I can't get above two bars at work on my phone right now, and cingular customers constantly have 4-5 bars.
So, tonight I finally ordered new phones for the wife and I.
Not only will I have great reception at home and work, but i'll also have the internet messaging, and the web at my fingertips... WHEE!

So I logged on to post tonight...and found that google has taken over blogspot!
I'm a huge google fan...so hopefully they bring in some new great features.

The design of a game goes through so many itterations before the product is finished.
One person may make the initial conception and design, then another designer builds the space adding the actual gameplay. That level could then be passed to another designer to polish and ensure that bugs are taken care of.
It's hard to feel a sense of ownership in this situation. Which of these three guys can say that they were ultimately responsible for the creation of the level? It all three?
Personally, I think the only way for a level to be it's best is if one person takes it from beginning to end. Of course i'm a huge fan of everyone giving input and seeing the level as much as possible, but one person should take care of the actual creation and implementation.

Sometimes I want to blog under an alias...
But, someone would eventually figure it out, i'm sure.
